Small set of substance tools I made for easily adding decals and other details to the higher tiered materials.
My responsibilities as tech/texture artist was developing the look and feel of every material in our game Wall Town Wonders.
Each building can have multiple customizable tiers and we needed them to distinctive enough from each other, while also sharing the same materials to keep draw calls at a minimum.
- Develop every material tier to provide a visual reference for artists to create their owns asset in that tier.
- Creating and setting up our material system to allow for texture variations to heavily save on draw calls via custom primitive data.
- Setup templates and tools for other artists inside Substance Painter to help them with texturing to ensure consistent and good looking art assets.
